Awesome Stand Up Paddleboard Experiences on Kauai
We were guests at the Kauai Marriott Resort and decided to rent paddle boards as one of the last things we did before checking out. The conditions were perfect- smooth glassy water, light breeze to cool you down, cloudless skies- what more could you ask for? The service of the attendant at the rental stand was very helpful and the equipment was good quality. We'll do this again when we return!

This was a good place to try stand up paddle boarding for the first time. The harbor is protected and Kauai Beach Boys has good gear and gave just enough simple instruction for me to be on my way. It was fun! They have lots of beach rental gear, they offer lessons for surfing and SUP, and are just a few steps from the water. Then there’s Duke’s Barefoot Bar right there to treat yourself afterward! Much calmer water than most other beaches.

My husband I and did the paddle board lessons. They charge per person but Nelson was a great coach. No pressure, no rushing, just a whole lot of fun. The bay has some waves but I didn't have a problem. Nelson has taught people of all ages, sizes, and specific challenges - he knows his stuff.
